Gaybo

When I work with a subject for a portrait I use video and sketch work. So I chat with and sketch people whilst I record them. This allows me to get to know the person and for them to relax in my company. The trouble with portraiture is that most of the work is private and I don’t get to show them. So I will often paint people who are in the public eye which allows me to showcase my portraiture to a larger audience. There not much I can say about Gaybo except that he was a true icon of Irish broadcasting.
