Into The Sea (You and Me)
I love this painting because it reminds me of watching the kids having fun at the seaside. The two lads heading in determinedly to take on whatever the waves have to throw at them. I was delighted with the movement I captured as they go in. I’m also pleased that the sea looks very ‘Irish’ - not surprising given that it’s Port Beach in Louth.This is the painting that has spawned several commissions so it seems to have resonance for a lot of those who’ve seen it.
